Nice location on water front, just a pity there's construction works going on in front of hotel. The hotel is very clean and up to a good standard. Food is of good to high quality, with food allergies taken note of and individual care taken. Drinks are separate and just a little expensive as a small bottle of beer for €4.50 you can purchase a large bottle in a supermarket for €2. Wine and shorts are priced the same. Rooms are a good size with a bath ,shower, toilet, fridge, and kettle for tea coffee facilities. Small balcony just enough for two people to sit out and enjoy a bit of sun. Pool is a generous size with towels and sunbeds in two locations shadier or direct sun. Pool side umbrellas are there to move as well. Staff are on hand 24/7 and are most accommodating. A very nice base to do your exploring from or just relax and enjoy the hotels facilities.

We stayed at Hotel Lapad for 2 nights in late August. It had been selected by our travel agent. I’ve given it 3 stars but it’s really only about 2.5 at present. Biggest problem is continuous local government roadworks outside the hotel. It makes access difficult and dangerous - see attached photo. Our local taxi could not get any closer than about 300 metres away. That is not the hotel’s fault but there should have been some advance notice to guests advising how to gain access. Better still, place advice of the 5 month duration of the works on their website. Staff were apologetic and explained works are scheduled to finish in Nov 2023. Except for the roadworks, the hotel’s location adjacent the marina and harbour would be quite nice. Rooms are a bit dated. Breakfasts were good. Dinner in hotel restaurant was poor. We were supposed to have a double bed but instead got two singles pushed together - the bed frames prevented the two mattresses from touching and caused a 50mm gap between them which elbows and hips fell into. Staff, particularly the young ones, were generally helpful and friendly. Managers Goran and Ivan at reception were also good. After I (male) had been swimming in the pool late on our first afternoon, I was was wet and therefore shirtless. I wanted to reserve a table for dinner that night and approached reception which is adjacent the pool. A different male manager was quite abrupt in immediately and publicly informing me I could not be in reception without a shirt on. Another reception staff person observed this and politely advised that reservations were not necessary. I would have happily put a shirt on had I known of the rule. It was not communicated to guests. In my wife’s and my opinion, this is a three star hotel currently functioning at 2 to 2.5 stars due to the roadworks.

Me and my Wife stayed here on our honeymoon during our tour of Croatia, and really enjoyed our stay. The staff were great, the rooms were lovely, and the whole experience was very enjoyable. Yes there is work going on outside the hotel, but renovations need to be done every now and again, no matter where you are. It's unfortunate that some guests don't appreciate this and score the hotel poorly for something that is out of their control, and is really nothing more than a slight inconvenience against what was a great stay here. 99/100 score for this venue for sure.

Lovely hotel with pool and separate garden area. Buffet breakfast great. Had amazing cake and cocktail on anniversary. Good room (630) looking out onto harbour - but personally not so keen on open balcony where we can see whole floor and 2 floors below due to open fretwork/railings. Unfortunately, massive works at entrance - 100m each way of total building site, so having to pick way through rubble, mud and diggers with no pavements. Particular issue at night as not completely lit so having to use phone torch. So great hotel but don't pack your best shoes!

Stayed for a week as first-time visitors to Dubrovnik, and we were really impressed by this hotel. Service couldn't have been friendlier, superbly maintained and nice pool. There was still work going on along the sea front outside when we were there, but not a major problem and should be great when complete in 2024.

Stayed here on 28 August for 2 nights. Overall the hotel is nice, decent rooms and breakfast. However, a new road is being constructed along the street where the hotel is situated. The previous reviews I read have the photos to show the nature of the construction site. As the road is the only entry and exit from the hotel, you need to walk through a live construction site each time you want to go to and from. The site itself currently consists of sand and stone and often is soaking wet. I cannot understand why a walkway hasn't been erected to allow a safe path to travel. You literally have to negotiate past working diggers and other machinery which is completely unsafe. Unless the safety of guests is taken more seriously, I would completely avoid using this hotel until works are complete as someone is going to get hurt.

Room is nice and modern, but big glass bathroom door makes a hell of a bang. Food ok, staff grumpy, although we were warned about roadworks, we weren't ready for the extent of diggers, pipes, gravel, pools of water noise and dust everywhere. Now we know why it was such a good price. I think it will be at least another 3 months until the external work is done.

I would totally recommend this stunning hotel, and it’s friendly and helpful staff. Yes, there was work on the street outside, but this did not and should not affect the reviews of the hotel. (Works will be finished by Nov 23) The pool area and gardens are stunning, the architecture and history of the place was so unique. The staff were so attentive and as we were celebrating my husbands 50th birthday, they were happy to put up a banner and balloons in the restaurant for him. The room was a lovely temperature (aircon) despite the weather being extremely hot outside. Extremely clean and well kept. It’s the perfect location for a bus ride into old town and boat trips. The view of the mountains and harbour was breathtaking. If you do stay here, have a meal at Peppers, about three buildings down from the hotel, amazing food. We stayed for 9 nights and didn’t want to leave. Would love to come back.
